Tracey Allen is the Senior Director of Professional Learning for Butte County Office of Education, where she oversees the Butte Teacher Induction Program and the Educational Technology Department. With more than 20 years of experience as a teacher, instructional coach, educational consultant, and principal, she is passionate about supporting educators throughout their professional journeys. Tracey enjoys collaborating with school and district leaders to foster effective instructional practices, meaningful relationships, and continuous growth.
Laurie York is an Educational Technology Coach with Butte County Office of Education and a Google for Education Certified Trainer with more than 20 years of experience in education, including 13 years as an elementary teacher. Through professional learning, coaching, and support, she helps educators and school personnel use technology with confidence and purpose. Laurie enjoys sharing practical tools and strategies that save time, strengthen communication, enhance learning, and improve organizational effectiveness.
Janet Brownell brings nearly 30 years of experience in education to her role as an Educational Technology Coach with Butte County Office of Education and a Google for Education Certified Trainer, including 20 years teaching high school chemistry, physics, engineering, and other STEM subjects. Drawing on experience across elementary, secondary, adult, traditional, and alternative education settings, Janet helps educators explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Her areas of focus include artificial intelligence, lesson integration, and technology-assisted workflows that support instructional effectiveness and educator productivity.
Jacob Carr is an accomplished author, international keynote speaker, and Educational Technology Coach with Butte County Office of Education. Drawing on experience teaching students in grades 1–3 and 6–12 across traditional, charter, hybrid independent study, and Waldorf settings, he helps educators explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning through EduProtocols, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Jacob enjoys sharing practical strategies that increase engagement, inspire creativity, and support meaningful learning experiences.
Anna Brink-Capriola is a bilingual K–12 educator and Educational Technology Coach with Butte County Office of Education who brings more than a decade of local and international teaching experience to her work. She is passionate about helping educators create culturally responsive, technology-enhanced learning environments that support diverse student populations. Anna enjoys sharing strategies that integrate STEAM, robotics, and social-emotional learning while building confidence and capacity among educators.
